The weather couldn't make its mind up today. It looked like thunder storms then sunny spells. The decision to have our street party outside was made at 10:30am. The tables, chairs, music and food were all assembled. Then it started to drizzle.....
Then the clouds parted and the playground was bathed in sunlight. The children and staff sang the national anthem before devouring either a pack lunch or the excellent party food prepared by Mrs D'Silva: Coronation chicken wraps, cheese rolls, crisps, scones, fairy cakes and warn sausage rolls, straight from the oven! Thank you to Mrs D'Silva for once again preparing such marvellous food. Thank you also for all the children who made bunting to decorate our playground.
The street party is the centre piece in the school's celebrations. We will also be assembling our time capsule next week.
